So, this is supposed to be the summer vacation and what am I doing? I am still completing an independent study (which will continue as a research project over summer and beyond). This is a study into the impact of cross-jurisdictional patenting (i.e. patenting something in say the US and re-patenting it in say, China). Apart from this I am still involved in the CC-Monitor research project (yeah, finally getting paid … payment due since July 07 
… would be more than 5k by now 
). I am also getting started with Mobiverse, a research project trying to find out what apps and services people want on their mobile devices and what would be the best way to get these to them. I know you’re thinking I-Phone! But this is Singapore, and well, we don’t have them here yet … (yes, I am trying!). So, that brings me to 3 full-fledged research projects … what fun!
Wait, there’s more! I still have the UOB-SMU EA Centre thing on-going (don’t think my teammates are interested in completing that ) and I need to do a lot of admin work for the immigration application to Canada and my time-sheets for the payment for the research project and for my travel plans to India …
And of courses, there’s GSoC (Google, Summer of Code) which have been a primer to IRC, Wikis, Mailing List and organizing meet-ups with people you haven’t met in places where aren’t going to be for some time … it has also been an excellent networking platform and I’ve made many a acquaintances and friends (you know who you are!).
Hmmm, oh well that’s all for now … off to finish off some of that admin work!

Ha! Dear Joana, you’re the one with no time to use the IMs (like ever) and rarely on the IRC which makes you the busy one … I am not busy, just over-worked!
