InnovateIT 2007

InnovateIT 2007 (a part of the National Infocomm Challenge – NIC) was held at SMU on December 8th 2007, Saturday.

This competition was not open for university students, thus making it one of those events where I took part from the ‘other’ side, as an organiser. Being an NIC event the main sponsor was the IDA (Infocomm Development Authority – Singapore Government) thus making it a lavish event. The prizes included Mac-books, O2 PDAs and I-Pod Touch(s) (for all team members) and even after ordering extra food, t-shirts, goodie-bags and everything else possible (eg: i-pod shuffles!) we still ended up with a hefty sum unspent.

It was gratifying to see large number of students participate and enjoying the event. It made the effort of running around for quotes and putting up banners and posters during the exams worth it.
